How to Fix "Run-time error '91'" (Reset JSON Settings)
When attempting to open the application, some users may encounter a Microsoft Visual Basic error dialog box that prevents them from proceeding.
The error message reads:
Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set
This error occurs due to a recent system update that implemented a new JSON settings configuration. If a user has an older JSON configuration file saved locally on their machine, it conflicts with the new application version, causing the startup failure.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, users must reset their local JSON settings using the newly added button in the Profile Settings.
-
If the "Run-time error '91'" message appears, click the End button to close the error dialog.
-
Navigate to the 00Profile_Settings tab at the top of the application window.
-
Locate the Reset Json button (outlined with a dashed border) on the right side of the screen under the User_Info section.
-
Click the Reset Json button to clear the old configuration.
-
Once the reset action is complete, close the application completely.
-
Reopen the application. The error should no longer appear, and you can proceed to use the software normally.
